One of our most frequently asked questions at the Farmers Market is “where are you all located?” We are located about 2 hours away, in Cashtown, Pennsylvania, just outside of Historic Gettysburg. We are tucked in a very special part of the country – the South Mountain Fruit Belt – which has ideal terrain and soils for growing fruit. There are over 15,000 acres of orchards in our county alone, which makes for spectacular scenery.
For the first time, ever, we are opening our doors to our Farmers Market customers! The orchard is breathtaking in the spring, and hopefully, we’ll have a beautiful spring bloom for you to see. We’ve planned orchard tours with Sidney, Anthony, Dave and Mary Margaret, an orchard scavenger hunt, farm equipment display, and activities for the kids. We’ll have samples galore of apples, canned peaches, applesause, apple butter and all of our jams. You can even bring your own picnic lunch.
